Twenty thousand years ago a new Ice Age was beginning. Everywhere creatures were fleeing for their lives. It was a time of peril and great danger and in dangerous times, strange things happen, and none more stranger than a group of animals forming their own little herd. There's Sid, a fast-talking sloth, Manny, a moody, woolly mammoth, Diego, a devilish saber-toothed tiger and Scrat, an acorn-crazy saber-toothed squirrel. They unite together in a quest to return a human infant to its father, braving boiling lava pits, ice caves and freezing temperatures in an attempt to become the world's first super-heroes.
